At Northside Pediatrics, we understand that puberty can be a challenging time for teens and families. Our team of pediatricians is here to support and guide you and your child through this transition. We provide specialized well visits for teens, offering comprehensive care that includes discussions on topics such as birth control and acne treatment. During these visits, we create a safe and comfortable environment for open conversations with your teen. We believe in empowering teens to take charge of their health by offering semi-independent visits starting at 13 years old. Rest assured, we value your input as parents and will check in with you before and after each visit. Our goal is to ensure your teenager's emotional and physical well-being by addressing topics such as school performance, growth and development, emotional health, risk reduction, and safety. Behavioral and mental health services play a crucial role in ensuring your child's overall well-being. We provide a wide range of services to address various issues including ADHD, depression, and anxiety. We offer assessments and evaluations, as well as treatment options for ADHD and certain forms of depression or anxiety. Additionally, we provide referrals for individual and family counseling, psychiatric care, and comprehensive mental health evaluations during well checks. If you're concerned about your child's mental health, please reach out to our dedicated clinical staff member or your provider to discuss the best way forward. Your child's wellness is our priority.

We are proud to offer convenient telemedicine visits with our care providers. Using a computer, tablet, or smartphone, you can have a virtual "house call" from the comfort of your own home. Through the secure Klara platform, you will have a face-to-face video chat with your Northside Pediatric provider. During the visit, we can discuss your child's symptoms, evaluate them with your help, provide medical advice, and electronically send necessary prescriptions. These virtual visits are available for our patients both in and out of town, including college students. Not all health concerns can be seen via telelmedicine. However, conditions such as gastroenteritis, rashes, acne, minor injuries, seasonal allergies, suspected sinus infections/colds, and medication management for ADHD and mood disorders (for established patients) can safely be treated through these visits.
