Maureen Shifflett, M.S.N., C.P.N.P.

Maureen McGovern Maureen Shifflett, MSN, CPNP, is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, who began her nursing career in Pediatric Intensive Care after graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree from Syracuse University in 1996.  After obtaining her Master’s of Science in Nursing Degree from The University of Michigan in 2002, Maureen began her nurse practitioner career in New York City, where she worked first in private practice, then in a school-based health center.  She moved to Chicago in 2006, where she worked in an adolescent health clinic as well as in the Emergency Department of Children’s Memorial Hospital.  She also served as adjunct faculty at DePaul University.  Special interests include childhood obesity, asthma and adolescent health.  She, along with her husband and two kids, recently relocated to the Atlanta area and are enjoying the nice weather and outdoor activities with their two dogs.
